Mahdieh Hosseini, M.D.Neurologist
Dr. Mahdieh Hosseini, M.D., is a neurologist with a strong background in neuroscience research and a passion for patient-centered neurological care. Born in Washington, D.C. to a Mexican-American mother and Iranian father, she spent her childhood between the United States and Iran, shaping a diverse cultural perspective that continues to influence her approach to medicine and patient care.
Dr. Hosseini graduated with honors in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University, where her fascination with the nervous system first developed through research involving mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. She earned her medical degree from Temple University and later participated in the prestigious NIH Medical Research Scholars Program under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Hallett, focusing on non-invasive neuromodulation techniques such as TMS and tDCS, as well as PET imaging in movement disorders.
In addition to her academic and clinical interests in neurology and neuroscience, Dr. Hosseini is deeply committed to serving underserved communities and advancing compassionate, evidence-based care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys nature, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring restaurants with scenic views.
