Bhargav Mudda, M.D.Physician (Double Board Certified)
Dr. Mudda, received his indergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. He attended Ross University School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. After graduating medical school, he did his internship training and residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY where he also served as Chief Resident during his senior year. After residency, Dr. Mudda completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the prestigious Texas Tech University Pain fellowship program. Prior to joining our practice, he has been in private practice for 4 years in the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Mudda's primary focus is to better meet the needs of patient population suffering from chronic pain. He aims to do this via interventional pain procedures, medication optimization as well thorough follow up care for existing. Dr. Mudda accepts patients with acute and chronic pain from multitude of conditions and is passionate about improving functional outcomes with the help of all the tools and healthcare providers at his disposal.
"It is my belief that the best way to manage chronic pain is using a multi-modal approach which includes targeted interventions to help directly address the pain, structured therapy programs, medication optimization as well as using behavioral mechanisms such as mindfulness, biofeedback and coping mechanisms. Purpose of study: A mapping review. To evaluate the exposure that current curricula of healthcare professionals' provides about patients with disability. Understand what gaps of knowledge, skills and attitudes exist and evaluate possible interventions.
Responsibilities: Literature review and analysis of selected commentaires. Assist in data gathering, development and execution of study design. - Investigation: Early Mobility in the ICU: Syracuse VA Hospital Mar '13 - Aug '13

Purpose of study: A Multidisciplinary QI project establishing an early mobility program in the ICU
Responsibilities: Data collection, assistance with study design.
